Favorite Producer, the Latest

Joe Henry is producing Elvis Costello! From Billboard:
Costello is slated to head into the studio this week to begin a collaboration with songwriter/arranger/pianist Allen Toussaint. Joe Henry will produce the album for Verve Records.

I also just picked up another Joe Henry production, Jim White's Drill a Hole In That Substrate and Tell Me What You See, which is quite nice and deserves further listening. Not like the R&B funk of the others I've written about, but beguiling in its own way.
