Various Leö Observations
Leö is five weeks old now, and still quite healthy. And apart from worrying about him and loving him, there are other things we're noticing about him. He's fussing more and crying when he's hungry. Brenda can settle him without the nook, while I need its help. His vision seems to be focusing - it feels more like he's looking at you, which is the greatest feeling. And his mouth is making the beginning shapes of a smile - we can't wait for that. Pictures will go up when we can get that on film. He has an audiology exam today, as he failed his initial test. We have seen him respond to sounds, so we'll see what this test means. Yesterday he had his initial consultation with social workers, who assured us that he could go to any school in St. Paul we chose for him. That's great, because he can go to school with Jack and Will. We want him to live as normal a life as possible - we don't want him to have a different path from the other boys just because we has this condition.
